Tomorrow is the day! I will be flying out of San Antonio, Texas tomorrow morning and will end up in Brussels, Belgium on Wednesday morning. It will be a long day full of travelling. I will be travelling with 3 other Aggies - Brad, Jake, and Kirstin. We will be meeting Katie (my roommate) in Chicago during our layover before the international flight. I have finally finished packing and think I have almost everything I need. Brad and I got some Euros exchanged in San Antonio so that we will have some when we get to Belgium if we need them. I have already checked into my flights online and printed my boarding passes.
I am sad about leaving my family and friends here in the US, but I am SOOOOO excited about what lies ahead in the next 5 weeks. I can't wait to make some life long memories with my friends from the Biological and Agricultural Engineering Department. I bought a 2 GB memory card for my camera today so that I can take lots of pictures during our weekend adventures. I do hope to upload pictures during the trip and post them here on this blog though. So keep checking back! I had lunch today with my Granny and Grandpa Luensmann before my trip tomorrow. I enjoyed visiting with them and brushing up on my German speaking skills.
I am nervous about the train systems and about riding a bike around the town in Leuven. We will have a 15 minute bike ride to school from our dorm each morning. However, I am also very nervous about the food in Europe. I hope it is good! I should be able to blog again on Wednesday when I get to Belgium and get my computer set up in my dorm room. Maybe I can post a picture or two as well! Wish me luck on my first international flight!!!
