I won't be able to do another blog update until later tonight after the concert or Monday night when we get back from Amsterdam. I don't have any papers to grade or write or homework to do this weekend so I should be able to post a long blog with lots of pictures when we get back from Amsterdam on Monday night. I just want to say that I miss everyone - especially my parents, Kayla, and Hope! I am sad that I will not be able to Skype with them until Monday night again. I love everyone! Please wish cool weather for us. It is so hot here and there is NO AC in any buildings!!!! I am finally getting used to my bike but it is about a 20 minute ride to school and back so I am definitely getting in a good workout while I'm here. Sending hugs from Belgium!

Mexican Food & Classes in Belgium
Howdy from Belgium :) The first picture is of Alma 3 or the student cafeteria closest to our classroom. Brad, Jaime, Jake, Katie, and I ate their today for lunch. The next few pictures are from La Cucaracha. Nine of us ate their last night and had some awesome margaritas. But, they were each 5 euros. There are a couple pictures from inside our classroom. The bottom picture is a student sports bar where Jake, Brad, Jaime, and I attempted to eat lunch today. Last night was super fun going to La Cucaracha. Today was our first day of school. It started at 8:30 AM. I woke up around 6:30 to pack my lunch, get dressed, and eat breakfast. I took a sandwich to school for lunch and then just got a Coke Light at the Alma. For the first hour and a half of school, Dr. Munster lectured about hydrology. Then, Dr. Engler lectured for an hour and a half about waste water treatment. Dr. Engler was a little bit late because he got his bike stolen last night. It was locked, but it still got stolen. I hope that doesn't happen to me. After an hour and a half lunch break, we had to go back to school to solve two sets of homework problems. I also found out that I will be the grader for Dr. Engler's homework which was VERY long today. I left school at 5 PM and made it home by 5:20 today. Currently, we are waiting to go out on the town for the concerts tonight. There will be bands playing all throughout the city. The theme for tonight is folk music, I think. I think we will also grab some dinner. The fries here are legendary but you are not supposed to call them "French" fries because the Belgians don't like the French. So they are just called fries. There are a ton of pizza places in Leuven so maybe we will get pizza tonight. But nevertheless, I'm sure we will have a few beers tonight.
I was shocked to find out today at lunch at the student cafeteria and student sports bar, the beer was the exact same price as water! Can you believe that? Tomorrow morning we are leaving very early for the Netherlands. We are going to be staying in "cabins" Saturday and Sunday night that are outside of Amsterdam. Sunday night is the World Cup game that is the Netherlands versus Spain. We are excited to see how excited the fans in the Netherlands are for the game. We are also planning on seeing the Ann Frank house and possibly going to the Red Light District. The Heineken Brewery is also in Amsterdam. We will all be staying together though and being very safe while in Amsterdam. Our next day of class is Tuesday. So we have to be back by Monday evening. We only have 9 more school days while here! Yay!
